Occupational Therapy Assessments by Easec

At Easec, we believe everyone deserves to live safely, confidently and independently in their own home and community. Our nationwide team of Occupational Therapists specialises in comprehensive Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and home assessments, delivering practical, tailored recommendations that support functional independence – no matter how complex a person’s needs may be.
Occupational Therapy home assessments play a critical role in understanding how people function in their real-world environment. By assessing everyday activities, home set up and support needs, our clinicians provide clear guidance that helps individuals remain safe, capable and empowered at home.
What is an ADL Assessment?
An Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assessment evaluates a person’s ability to safely and independently perform everyday tasks such as:
- Bathing
- Toileting
- Dressing
- Feeding
- Transferring
- Mobilising
Depending on the referral purpose, an ADL or home assessment may also review a person’s capacity to manage domestic and household tasks, including:
- Cleaning
- Cooking
- Gardening
- Home maintenance
Just like every individual is unique, each assessment is tailored to suit the reason for referral. Our OTs adjust their approach to align with compensatory and legislative requirements, while ensuring clinical needs remain front and centre.
What Makes Easec Different?
1. National Reach, Local Care
With a network of highly skilled OTs across Australia, Easec delivers consistent, high-quality assessments wherever they are needed. From metropolitan hubs to remote communities, our clinicians are experienced in travelling to clients to conduct assessments in their home environment.
For clients located overseas or in difficult to access locations, we also offer telehealth assessments, ensuring continuity of service regardless of geography.
2. Expertise in Complex Cases
Easec is recognised for delivering comprehensive ADL and household services assessments for clients with complex physical, psychological, social and cognitive needs, including catastrophic injuries.
Our OTs draw on extensive clinical experience to complete thorough assessments and detailed reports that guide appropriate and sustainable support recommendations. Across our national team, our Occupational Therapists hold on average over 13 years of clinical experience, bringing depth of knowledge and confidence to even the most complex presentations.
3. Specialists in Veteran Care
Easec understands the unique requirements of veteran support programs and has completed thousands of assessments over recent years. Our staff have in-depth knowledge of the veteran experience, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the broader veteran support ecosystem.
We pride ourselves on providing a thorough ADL assessment experience, including prioritising education and information to ensure clients leave with a clear understanding of the various support services and programs available to them now and in the future.
4. Focus on Functional Independence and Safety
Our assessments are grounded in promoting safety, managing risk and enabling independence at home.
We do not take a checklist approach. Instead, we work collaboratively with clients to identify practical, realistic solutions that enhance wellbeing and day to day functioning. Our expertise in functional capacity and ADL evaluation ensures every recommendation is tailored and clinically appropriate.
5. Client Centred and Flexible Approach
Everything we do is client centred. We listen, respect preferences and involve clients in every step of the process.
If an in-person assessment is not possible, telehealth provides a flexible alternative without compromising quality. When home visits occur, we work to align appointment times with client needs, balancing clinician safety with social and household considerations.
6. Seamless Account Management and Support
Our dedicated account management team plays a critical role in delivering a consistent and responsive service.
Easec assessors understand the parameters of the insurance and compensation schemes they operate within. This ensures reports align with referral requirements, avoids surprises for referrers and prevents unrealistic expectations being set for clients.
Supporting Independence, Every Step of the Way
At Easec, our goal is simple – to empower people to live as independently and confidently as possible in the place they call home.
Through clinical expertise, national reach and a genuinely client centred approach, we deliver assessments that make a practical difference to everyday living.
